Biography

Tristan Matthiae (born 1978, in Hampton, Surrey, England) is a British actor, stunt performer, and gymnastics coach, 6′ 0″ (183 cm) tall. He grew up next door to stuntman Marc Boyle, who introduced him to wire-work and acrobatic stunts, and as a teenager became a member of the Junior Great British Sports Acrobatic Squad before retiring from competitive gymnastics in 1999. He graduated from St Mary's University, Twickenham with a 2:1 in Sports Rehabilitation (2000), then began formal acting training at Drama Studio London in 2006, where he was one of only two students selected to perform in the annual Sam Wanamaker Festival at The Globe Theatre. He is represented by Emptage Hallett and also works as a property developer and zombie choreographer. His most notable film credits include a Featured Infected in 28 Days Later (2002, directed by Danny Boyle, with Cillian Murphy), a Crawler in The Descent (2005, directed by Neil Marshall), and a Clinic Security Guard in Spectre (2015, with Daniel Craig). Other credits include stunt work on The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns (1999), Adonis in Beyond the Rave (2008), and zombie choreographer on Cockneys vs Zombies (2012).
