    Biography

    Yan Widjaya is a senior Indonesian film journalist, critic, actor, and screenwriter. Born on May 7, 1951, in Purwokerto, Central Java, he has been a prominent figure in the Indonesian entertainment industry since the 1970s. He began his career in 1974 as a writer for the movie magazine Ria Film. Over the decades, he became widely recognized as a dedicated freelance writer and veteran observer of Indonesian cinema, actively sharing his reviews and industry commentary via his active X account (@yan_widjaya).
