Biography

**Raasi** (born July 29, 1980) is an Indian actress who works primarily in Telugu and Tamil cinema, with appearances in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam films. She began her career as a child artist in productions such as *Mamatala Kovela* (1989) and *Aditya 369* (1991). Under the screen name **Mantra**, she made her debut in a lead role with the Tamil film *Priyam* (1996), subsequently entering Telugu cinema as a leading actress with *Subhakankshalu* (1997). Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, she appeared in Telugu films including *Gokulamlo Seeta* (1997), *Pelli Pandiri* (1997), *Preyasi Rave* (1999), *Postman* (2000), *Devullu* (2000), and *Deevinchandi* (2001). Her Tamil credits include *Love Today* (1997), *Kalyana Galatta* (1998), and *Doubles* (2000), alongside Hindi appearances in *Rangbaaz* (1996) and *Jodidar* (1997). In 2003, she played an antagonist role in Teja's *Nijam*. Following supporting and guest appearances in films such as *Venky* (2004) and *Oka Pellam Muddu Rendo Pellam Vaddu* (2004), she transitioned to television, featuring in Telugu series including *Girija Kalyanam* (2020–2021) and *Janaki Kalaganaledu* (2021–2023).
